Promoter Agreement

Last updated: 26 August 2026Version 1.1

1. Introduction

This Promoter Agreement ("Agreement") governs the use of the Scope platform by promoters who list events for sale. By accepting this Agreement, you confirm that you have the authority to list the event and that you accept the obligations set out below.

This Agreement must be accepted before your first event can be published, and renewed annually. A record of your acceptance, including the date and version number, is retained against your account.

2. Promoter Responsibility

2.1 You are solely responsible for delivering the event as advertised, including ensuring the correct lineup, venue, date, time, and age restrictions are listed accurately.

2.2 You must have the legal authority to promote the event. You must not list events for which you do not have the rights or permissions to sell tickets.

2.3 You must ensure that all performers and venues have consented to the event being listed on Scope.

2.4 You must ensure the venue is appropriately licensed for the event as described.

3. Accuracy of Event Information

3.1 All event information must be accurate and up to date at the time of publication and maintained throughout the on-sale period.

3.2 You must not set misleading ticket quantities or create artificial scarcity to manufacture urgency.

3.3 Age restrictions must be set accurately and in accordance with the venue's licensing conditions.

3.4 If any material event detail changes after tickets go on sale (including lineup, date, time, or venue), you must notify Scope immediately so that ticket holders can be informed.

4. Event Cancellation

4.1 If you cancel an event for any reason, you must notify Scope immediately at promoters@scopeshows.com.

4.2 On cancellation, all ticket holders are entitled to a full refund of the ticket face value. The Scope booking fee is non-refundable and will be retained by Scope.

4.3 You agree to cooperate fully with Scope in processing refunds and to reimburse Scope for any ticket face value amounts disbursed to refund ticket holders where those funds have already been transferred to you.

4.4 Repeated cancellations may result in suspension or permanent termination of your promoter account.

5. Event Postponement

5.1 If you postpone an event, you must notify Scope immediately with the new confirmed date.

5.2 Ticket holders will be notified and offered the right to retain their ticket for the new date or request a refund within 14 days of the postponement announcement.

5.3 You agree to honour all valid tickets at the rescheduled event regardless of whether the original ticket holder transferred their booking.

6. Booking Fee Structure

6.1 Scope charges a booking fee on each ticket sold. This fee is set by Scope and displayed clearly to ticket purchasers.

6.2 The booking fee is Scope's service charge and is non-refundable in all circumstances. You agree not to contest or seek recovery of booking fees charged by Scope.

6.3 Scope collects the ticket face value as agent for and on behalf of the promoter. Those funds are held on the promoter's behalf pending settlement and are not Scope's income at any point. The booking fee is Scope's income.

6.4 The face value of tickets (excluding the booking fee) will be settled to you by bank transfer to the payout details held on your account upon completion of the event, subject to any refunds, chargebacks, or deductions arising from cancellation or policy breaches.

7. Door Sales

7.1 Door sales are tickets sold through Scope at the venue on the night of the event. They are sold on the same agent basis as advance sales, with the same booking fee treatment set out in section 6.

7.2 The door price is set by you, the promoter.

7.3 Door sales are not constrained by the advertised capacity set on the event. You are responsible for ensuring that total attendance, including door sales, stays within the venue's licensed capacity at all times.

8. Platform Rules and Enforcement

8.1 Scope reserves the right to remove any event listing that breaches these terms or Scope's platform rules, without notice and without liability.

8.2 Scope reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your promoter account for repeated breaches of this Agreement, including but not limited to: repeated event cancellations, misleading listings, failure to cooperate with refunds, or conduct that damages Scope or its users.

8.3 Termination of your promoter account does not extinguish your entitlement to face value already collected for events that go ahead. Scope will settle that face value to you subject to any outstanding refund, chargeback, or reimbursement obligations under this Agreement.

8.4 You must not use the Scope platform to promote events involving illegal activity or content that is offensive, discriminatory, or in breach of applicable law.

9. Payout and Banking Details

9.1 You agree to provide accurate banking and payout details so that Scope can settle ticket face value to you by bank transfer.

9.2 Scope cannot be held responsible for failed or delayed payouts resulting from inaccurate or incomplete payout details.

9.3 Payouts may be withheld or reversed where there are outstanding refund obligations, chargebacks, or disputed funds.

9.4 Where a chargeback is raised by a ticket holder after settlement has already been made to you, you agree to reimburse Scope for the face value disbursed in respect of that chargeback. Scope may deduct the chargeback amount from any future payouts owed to you.

10. Liability

10.1 As promoter, you accept full responsibility for the event and its delivery. Scope is the ticketing agent only and has no liability for the event itself.

10.2 You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Scope against any claims, costs, or losses arising from your failure to deliver the event as advertised, your breach of this Agreement, or any misuse of the platform.

11. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
